Podcasting Audacity

Audacity is a freeware tool to record and create audio files. This tool is not able to save files as MP3,
but if you have the "lame_enc.dll" file you can tell the program where this file is and it will be able to save as MP3.

Install

• Download and install Audacity [Audacity]
• Download and extract the "lame_enc.dll" [Lame]
• Save the "lame_enc.dll"-file somewhere on your computer
• Start Audacity
• Go to: Edit --> Preferences --> FileFormats and add the "lame_enc.dll" as a library
• Choose the quality of your MP3-files

Recording with Audacity

Recording sound files with Audacity is very easy. Here a short explanation:

record	After Audacity has started, press the button Record. Talk now ;-)
frequency curve	With the Stop-button you can stop recording. Now you should see the frequency curve of your recorded sound.
export	Now you can save as an MP3-file.
